MTL Fortnight 2025
MTL Fortnight 2025: A Celebration of Language and Culture

Mother Tongue Fortnight 2025 kicked off with a vibrant display of culture and language! Over the course of eight exciting days, ASRJCians experienced the beauty of their mother tongues through hands-on activities, performances, and engaging challenges. The theme, "Experience, Immerse, Appreciate", set the tone for a deep dive into our linguistic and cultural roots.

The Lunchtime Cultural Extravaganza became a highlight of the fortnight, bringing students and teachers together in a lively showcase of music and performances. Whether through soulful singing, traditional instruments, or engaging duets, each performance was a celebration of the rhythms and stories embedded in our languages.

Students put their language skills to the test in the MTL Challenge, where they competed in games that required quick thinking and linguistic prowess. From quizzes to interactive storytelling, participants demonstrated their appreciation of their mother tongues in a fun and dynamic way.

Immersion took center stage as students engaged in traditional art forms, including calligraphy, batik painting, and intricate handicrafts. The workshops provided a hands-on approach to understanding the artistic expressions of different cultures, sparking creativity and appreciation.

The fortnight concluded with a series of cultural games that brought students together through traditional pastimes. Whether it was strategy-based board games or high-energy activities like chapteh, these games highlighted the importance of heritage and community.
Keeping Our Languages Alive

Through music, art, language challenges, and games, ASRJCians deepened their appreciation for their mother tongues. As we continue to celebrate our diverse linguistic heritage, may the lessons and experiences from this fortnight inspire us to cherish and uphold our languages for generations to come.
