Tamil LDDS
Tamil Language Debate and Dance Society (TLDDS) is a creative and dynamic CCA that fosters passion in Indian traditional and folk dances. It offers a range of activities which teaches the members the skills and precision for the different dance forms. Students showcase their artistic talents in competitions such as Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation (Indian Dance), consistently attaining the Distinction Award since 2019.
In addition to SYF, students are further given opportunities to choreograph dance items and perform in a variety of college and community events. These experiences allow members to further develop their artistic abilities and confidence on stage.
Beyond dance, the CCA provides valuable opportunities for students to grow as leaders and develop a spirit of service. The CCA collaborates with the Mother Tongue department on a yearly basis to publicise and celebrate Deepavali. Students’ leadership skills are further nurtured through the organisation of AGNI, a biennial national event held during the Tamil Language Festival, which has become a signature programme of the CCA. Additionally, the students engage in service learning projects as part of their commitment to give back to the community.
