Discover Tennis with CCA: Building Skills, Friendships, and Accomplishments

For many of our members, joining the tennis CCA begins as a leap into the unknown. With limited prior experience in tennis, they come equipped with little more than a spark of curiosity and a desire to learn something new. However, as they explore the fundamentals of the sport, from mastering their strokes to understanding the rhythm of the game, this initial interest often blossoms into a genuine love for tennis. It’s a journey of discovery and growth, where the joy of learning fuels their passion for the sport.

 Beyond refining strokes and perfecting techniques, training sessions offer members a unique opportunity to bond with one another through simplified gameplay and friendly rallies. These interactions create a relaxed and enjoyable environment where teamwork and camaraderie thrive. Whether it’s laughing over missed shots or celebrating small victories, members form meaningful connections that extend beyond the court. The sessions are not just about tennis—they are about creating shared memories and fostering a strong sense of community.

 After 1.5 years of dedication and practice, many members experience a profound sense of accomplishment, having progressed from complete beginners to confident players. Some even earn the honor of representing the college in prestigious A-division games, an experience that solidifies their growth and celebrates their hard work. It’s a testament to their resilience and passion, showcasing the transformative power of sports.

 Beyond tennis, the CCA encourages students to take initiative and give back through service-learning projects. These activities align with the college’s motto, offering members opportunities to serve the community while continuing to learn and grow. By engaging in meaningful projects, students not only develop their character but also embody the values of leadership, compassion, and teamwork.
